Since childhood, philosophy, art and science have held an equal fascination for me; no one discipline provided a satisfying understanding of the world. I am driven to get to first principle understanding of problems and combine creativity and pragmatism to solve them. I am passionate about Outside working on challenges that help our clients create a better world for their customers and people.


I love music, literature and my family. One day, I will finally write a best-selling novel/Christmas hit/TV series. Or perhaps I’ll just learn to accept the wonderful life I’ve had.

After leaving the corporate world of investment banking and diving into start-ups, I found myself being drawn to the disruptive nature of emerging businesses that have the potential to reimagine the outdated. I am passionate about helping clients rethink and reinvent their business models by embracing technological advances and, ultimately, building a new and exciting vision of their future. My background helps me combine my insights of finance, analytics, growth strategies and innovation, with my interest in transforming the businesses of tomorrow and my ambition to leave a positive dent in the universe.

 

I love trying and engaging with anything health and fitness related – particularly new gym workouts and testing the latest biohacking trends!

I’ve worked in the design industry for over a decade and my mission is to create visual work that inspires and empowers people. I love solving the design and technical problems of communicating in an attention poor world. 

 

Art and design have always been an integral part of my life and I can’t imagine a more rewarding career. 

 

When I’m not leading our design work at Outside, I can usually be found in and around the coastline of West Sussex, enjoying life by the sea.

Outside of work one of my big loves is hiking and wild swimming - get me to the lakes, mountains and sea!

As the world continues to gather pace, this increasingly means action-biased programmes of continuous learning, experimentation and adaptation; not big, linear, top-down change approaches.

 

I’m known for my humour, love of food – cooking, not just eating – and live with my wife and son in Bedfordshire, not far from, but not actually in, Milton Keynes (despite what my colleagues believe).

Increasing accessibility to Neuroscience is important to me because everyone can use complex scientific concepts to better their own lives, when explained in an understandable way.


I gained my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Nottingham. As a Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University, I currently study the brain’s mental representation of the body and how it relates to persistent pain.

With a PhD in Behavioural and Systems Neuroscience from University College London, my academic work focuses on developing new technology and employing AI tools to understand how we learn, make decisions, and adapt our behaviour.


As a Neuroscience Associate at Outside, I specialise in leveraging data on understanding how our mindsets work to provide actionable insights for clients, bringing my doctoral expertise in Behavioural Neuroscience to real-world, human problems.


In my downtime, I’m an avid reader and gardener, often thinking about books, gardens, or books about gardens. More broadly, I’m usually immersed in some pursuit that fuels my love of aesthetics.
